Dining & Activities

Our retirement community residents enjoy two beautiful dining rooms – the Main Dining Room and the Virginia Room which is often used for guests and other special events. Off the main dining room is our sunny patio where residents enjoy the fresh air and activities like cook-outs and ice cream socials.

Take-Away Gourmet

Residents of our Independent Living Country Club Residences also have the option to use our “Take-Away Gourmet” service – enjoying delicious prepared meals in their own apartments.

Activities & Excursions

Activities abound at the Roanoke United Methodist Home. There is something for everyone whether it is an activity out in the community or an activity located on the premises. Each week also brings Bible studies, Vespers, and group gatherings.

The monthly events calendar is designed with a number of events for the Independent Living residents as well as therapeutic, recreational activities for the Assisted Living and Health Care residents.

Volunteer opportunities include reading to a group of residents, brightening up a dining room, providing flower arrangements, offering sewing services, or stopping by for a friendly visit.
