The Assisted Living private rooms at Roanoke United Methodist Home are licensed by the Virginia Department of Social Services. We offer four supportive levels of assisted living. Something that makes our continuing care retirement community unique from other retirement communities is that we offer all levels of care in one building. In fact, many of our residents are able to change levels of care without leaving their private rooms. Each level of assisted living includes three delicious meals per day as well as snacks, weekly laundry and linen services, housekeeping, 24-hour emergency response system, 24-hour security, interior and exterior maintenance, activities, and medical/activity transportation.

The four levels of assisted living are determined by the amount of assistance a resident requires from the nursing staff. They are defined as Catered Independent, Residential Assisted Living, Assisted Living, and Intensive Assisted Living. There are one and two room suites available to accommodate preferences. We also offer suites for couples to remain together even if they are at different levels of care.
