The Roanoke United Methodist Home advocates a wellness philosophy to enhance the physical, mental, social, emotional and spiritual well being of our residents. Our Wellness Center is available to all of our residents and is used extensively by many of our independent residents. The Wellness Center offers blood pressure checks, blood sugar checks, informational pamphlets, and programs such as Tai Chi, a podiatry clinic, mall walking and an equipped exercise room. The Wellness Nurse is available to answer questions about medications, provide flu shots, arrange medical appointments and transportation, and make house calls to assist residents with non-emergency situations. We also feature a restorative program in conjunction with therapy to enable residents to maintain their highest levels of mobility and strength.
