The Roanoke United Methodist Home is a Continuing Care Retirement Community, or CCRC, which offers the full spectrum of retirement living. We have Independent Living Apartments, various levels of Assisted Living, and Health Care. Most levels of care are located in the same building which means no moving from building to building as your needs change.

The Independent Living Apartments are located just steps away from the main building on campus. Although meals and housekeeping are not included at this level unless chosen as an option, we do provide all maintenance both inside and outside the apartments. A nurse call system is available around the clock if assistance is needed. Apartment residents are also welcome to participate in all activities and programs offered by the community.
Our Catered Independent level of care is for the medically independent resident. Either a one-room or a two-room suite with a private bath is available. Catered Independent residents have meals, housekeeping, and fresh linens provided in a safe, secure environment where a family atmosphere encourages friendships and socialization.
The various levels of Assisted Living are determined by how many activities of daily living the resident needs assistance with from the nursing staff. The activities of daily living are bathing, dressing, grooming, transferring, feeding, incontinence of bowel, and incontinence of bladder. These levels are monitored and adjusted as needed for the well being of the resident. Suites are available at the Assisted Living level of care for couples to remain together even though they may be at different levels of assisted living.
The Health Care or Nursing Care level of care is reserved for residents who need assistance with many activities of daily living.
